Remo's WRX - Feature #5

I was super excited to conduct this feature as I rarely find a Subaru that takes my breath away. This feature actually came about when I had spotted this WRX a few weeks earlier on King William Road. When I saw the lack of seats in the rear, the slotted rotors and overall aggressive look, I knew I had to get in contact with the owner ! As I pulled up to Remo's place, his WRX was sitting out the front, freshly detailed and it looked amazing. As we headed for the hills I started a Facebook Live Stream and Remo began telling us a bit about the car. Remo S.: I’ve owned it for about 5-7 years, but since I’ve owned it...

Hiroshi's Honda NSX-R - Feature #4

1 January, 2017. That was the date I messaged Hiroshi regarding the interview for this beautiful, 1993 Honda NSX-R. Between life and work, it took us 3 months to finally lock in a time where both of us could sit down, chat and admire this amazing machine. We eventually got there, and boy was it worth it ! This NSX-R has got to be one of the best examples in the world.Hiroshi moved from Japan 3 years ago and brought over his NSX-R and a Honda Insight as personal imports. He is extremely knowledgeable not only about the NSX, but many other Japanese cars too. Anthony Calabek: First of all allow me to thank you very much for giving me the opportunity...

Lachy's "Nightmare" R32 GTR - Feature #3

The week from hell; my boss yelled at me, I was extremely fatigued and my sessions at the gym weren't having the relieving factor they usually do. But all of this became meaningless when I'd heard the grumble of Akumu two neighbourhoods over. As the evil sound got louder and louder the only emotions I felt were fear and lust. Similar to the feelings Fry, Zapp and Kif had when they were subjected to Death by Snu Snu.Lachy gave me the official introduction to Akumu with a few squirts down the backstreets while we Facebook Live. I wish I'd brought a spare change of underwear because there was a little bit of poop coming out after seeing how quick this car was.  As...

Mark's Tommi Mak EVO6.5 - Feature #2

As the beastly sound of an automotive animal crept closer to my house, I also heard the sound of excited footsteps rush to my bedroom door. I looked up and saw my 49 year old father with foam coming out of his mouth asking in awe if the Tommi had arrived. There was no mistaking from the grumble outside that it had.  I walked outside to find the stunning, bright red 2000 Mitsubishi Evolution: Tommi Makinen Edition and it's owner - Mark - waiting for me as it started to rain.       Anthony Calabek: Hi Mark ! Thanks a lot for taking the time out of your day off to let me experience this machine ! I've been excited all...

Paul’s Hakosuka & 240Z - Feature #1

Recently I got to hang out with one of the most down to earth car enthusiasts in Adelaide – Paul. He introduced me to his 1972 Hakosuka Skyline and track spec 1971 Datsun 240Z. It was an absolutely surreal experience being in the presence of both cars let alone going for a drive in the Hakosuka. It’s one thing to see it in person and take a few photos but to actually ride shotgun and experience the car’s demeanour and the attention it attracts… well it quite simply leaves you at a loss for words. We began by taking a look at the 240. For years I'd been star struck by this car - thanks to Wangan Midnight - and finally...
